Prentice "Skip" Lyons is a native of the Delmarva Peninsula. After graduation from high school, Skip did a tour with the Merchant Marine and National Guard. He returned to the Eastern Shore of Maryland to begin a long and illustrious career in law enforcement. Skip served with both the Berlin and Ocean City Police Departments and was instrumental in forming the Worester County Bureau of Investigation. Skip was appointed as Chief of Police of Berlin, MD in 1991 and for the next decade he incorporated his advanced management skills and knowledge of law enforcement to bring the department to this highest level of professionalism and effectiveness. Skip's accomplishments were recognized not just locally, but on the State and Federal level as well. He has been decorated with numerous awards including two Gubernatorial citations and attended a White House reception at the invitation of Bill Clinton.

Since his retirement from law enforcement in 2002, Skip, his wife Debbie and their beloved Labrador Retrievers have relocated to the quaint town of Girdletree, MD. Skip and Debbie completely renovated a 1920's farm house, It wasn't long after completion of that project that he began Lyons Development acquiring lots and building homes in the Captains Cove development in Greenbackville, VA. LDC now serves the southern Worcester Co., Maryland/Accomack Co., Virginia area and is proud to feature homes by Nelson Design Group.

While Skip stays busy with construction, Debbie enjoys success with Coldwell Banker as a professional realtor licensed in DE, MD, and VA. Skip is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys the fine hunting and fishing our Delmarva peninsula provides. He and Debbie both enjoy spending time "down the bay" and travel when their schedules allow.
